Colour Scheme
The colour scheme of my magazine will be very busy and full but bold colours will make certain parts stand out over other the top of others and fill the page. This would keep my magazine conventional to the pop music genre. In the example bellow we see only 5 very simple colours and combining this with the many layers of the front page it creates the busyness often seen within pop, that draws in the audience to read further into the page and to the bottom layers of stories and plugs. In my magazine, I hope to use this mass of simple colours as well and to try and fill the pages with images.
Font Ideas
These are fonts I chose out from www.dafont.com, I chose them on a basis of how similar they appeared to be to other font styles of other Pop Music Magazines.

Target Audience
The Target Audience for my Pop magazine will be teenagers ranging from about 13-16 old. This is based off the sort of people that predominantly listen to pop music. The target audience would be used to decide what adverts to put in the magazine and it would also be used to decide on colour schemes.

The magazine 'We Love Pop' is a pop music magazine targeted at teenagers from 13-16. In a 5 month period from launching they sold 50,505 copies of their magazine. The price of £2.99 is cheap for a monthly magazine, and supports the younger audience with less disposable income.
The magazine is publish by Egmont, and from a news report at launch they commented on how the pop music magazine was a difficult industry, but that they believe the younger target audience will help them succeed.

Q is another popular music magazine, however Q magazine has a higher age average of 29 and costs £3.50. Its is predominant audience is young male professionals, and the use of multimedia and social-media will help with the relatively young audience in the modern day.
